Baked shrimps with feta cheese. An appetizer ideal for ouzo or white wine... just amazing!

2 medium onions, thinly sliced
½ cup of olive oil
1 kilo tomatoes, peeled and coarsely chopped
chopped parsley
2 cloves garlic
½ cup of white wine
1 kilo large raw shrimps, shelled and de-veined
½ kilo feta cheese
½ teaspoon of sweet paprika powder
salt , pepper

Saute shrimps in olive oil for a while in a frying pan and keep aside. Saute onions in oil until tender. Add wine, tomatoes, chopped parsley, salt, pepper, sweet paprika and garlic. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes, stiring occasionally. Put sauce and shrimps in a fireproof baking tray or in individual fireproof dishes. Crumble feta cheese over shrimps and bake in a very hot oven for 10-15 minutes or until shrimps are cooked and cheese is melted. Garnish with parsley and serve.

You may add 1/2 cup of ouzo instead of white wine, according to your taste.
