Fanouropita (St. Fanourios' pie)

A classic, traditional recipe for the pie that... works wonders!!!

Ingredients: 

300gr. self-rising flour
½  teaspoon of cinnamon powder
½ teacup olive oil
½ teacup sugar
1 teacup orange juice
½ teaspoon of baking soda
1 freshly grated lemon
½ teacup walnuts (chopped)
½ teacup raisins
A little sugar powdered for garnishing at the end

Stir all the ingredients together in a large bowl (add the flour at the end, little by little). Pour the mixture in a lightly oiled pan. Preheat the oven in 350F/175oC and bake the pie until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 25 minutes. Take out of the oven, let it cool and sift powdered sugar evenly over the top of the pie.

Tip: 

In case that the mixture is too thick, you may add a little more orange juice or water (not too much).
