Cereal bars with honey, tahini and walnuts

These homemade cereal bars pack well for mid-day snacks, for school or  for the office. Vary the ingredients for variety or to make them more wholesome. Be creative!

Tahini or Tehina  is 100% sesame; roasted and pressed. It's Gluten-free  and peanut -free, delicious and nutricious! 

Ingredients: 

130 gr. tahini
140 gr. honey
40 gr. brown sugar
20 gr. olive oil
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
1/2 cup raisins
150 gr. cereals (with honey and almonds, or any other kind you desire)
100 gr. oats

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C. In a small saucepan, heat 40gr. of honey with brown sugar and olive oil over medium-high heat, stirring until melted the sugar. In a large bowl, mix together tahini, with 100gr. honey, walnuts, raisins, oats and cereals. Pour the mixture of honey , sugar and olive oil in the bowl with the rest of the ingredients and stir until well blended. Spread the mixture on a cookie sheet and using a rubber spatula or a spoon, pat everything down so it’s nice and compacted. Bake in the oven for about 8 -10 minutes. Let cool to room temperature. Cut them into square or rectangles as you please.

Tip: 

You can also put them in the fridge for a bit since this’ll make cutting easier.
