Drunkard pork. A main dish which can also be an amazing appetizer for beer or wine...


3 - 4 pork tenderloin cut in small pieces

1 cup of olive oil

1 big onion, chopped

1 clove of garlic

3 carrots cut in small cubes

2 green peppers, cut in big square pieces

2 red peppers, cut in big square pieces

1 cup of white dry wine

thyme (fresh or dry)

cumin (optionally)

250 ml of chicken broth 

salt – pepper

Wash the pork tenderloin and cut in small pieces.Heat the oil in a saucepan and saute the pieces of pork until change colour.Add the chopped onion, the clove of garlic, the carrots and the pieces of green and red pepper. Pour the wine, salt, pepper, thyme and a little cumin (if desired). Pour the chicken broth and let the pork boil in low heat for about 15 minutes. Continue boiling until thicken the sauce and soften the meat.

Sprinkle with freshgrinded pepper.


Before you serve and while it's still hot, you may add some pieces of yellow hard cheese cut in small cubes and place in the oven for a while, until melted the cheese.

If you like your dish to be a little more spicy, you may add one or two red hot peppers.
